Setting up a new site

Webolytics Site builder allows you to create content, and serve it to any type of front end, be that a web page, App, or something else.

You are able to create multiple sites, and control content from once central portal. Within the site builder, there is access to 8 core areas. Our resource documentation will run through each section, how they work, and how to use them.

Make a new site

Log into webolytics, and click “Site Builder” on the left-hand navigation bar. Once inside here, if you have no existing sites, you will see a notification which will say “Could not find Top Level Domain”.

Setting up a new site 1

To create a new site, click on the blue button on the bottom-right of the screen and click “Add New Site”. Fill in the Name of the site, and click “Create”. The name of the site is purely for labelling purposes. Once created, you will see your new site listed.

To go into the site, either click the name of the site on the left, or click the Preview icon to the right of the site.

Accessing the site

The following page is the portal into your new site, and has 8 sections within it.

Assigned Vendors

This section controls who has access to the site. Any assigned vendors will grant their respective users access to the site.

Destinations

This sections establishes connection with the front end, to allow for image, video, documents and any other files that are required for the front end.

Site sections

This is where the creation of sections and pages occurs. Most front-facing content will be served by a page within a section.

Site pages

Pages are the foundation of most content delivery from Webolytics. They essentially are collections of content from the Media Assets library that is delivered to a consumer via a front end in a specific context and format.

Site Navigation

This is where navigations are created, for site accessibility.

Site Schema

Any site that requires additional schema.org information can be created here. The site schema will be present in a ubiquitous context across a front end, as each page, Tag and Section can also have SEO and Schema information applied to them.

Site Tags

This is a taxonomy section, that allows for creation of different types of tag, to perform various categorisation activities from blog tags, to page layouts.

Site Tracking

Any universal tracking snippets for either initiation of an action, or conversion of an action can be created here.

Media Assets

The media assets library contains all content that has been created within the site including all files. Any content within the media assets library can be re-used across sections/pages/tags/schema as desired.
