Site Tags
Webolytics Tags allow for categorisation of information, which can be delivered to an end user in a structured and organised context. There are 3 types of Tags that can be used in the site builder.
Link Tag
These are tags for page categorisation. An example of a Link Tag would be “Categories” in a blog
Page Meta Tag
These tags allow for placement of specific page content within the meta header of any page, or at the very foot of the page. Content, or files such as javascript functions, css style sheets or json arrays can be stored dynamically, and assigned concisely for enhanced front end functionality for specific situations.
Layout Tag
The Layout Tag allows for organisation of page content on any given page. As an example, a layout tag could be a banner, above fold, below fold or footer section, to all of for content to be relayed to the front end in a more structured format if the need arises.
Creating a Tag Section
From your site dashboard, click the view button on the top-right of the Site Tags block
Once inside the Site Tags section, you will see a list of Tags that have been set up. If no tags are listed, you will see a notification that will say “Could not find Taxonomy”
To add a new Site Tag, click the blue button to the bottom-right of the page, and click on one of the following:
- Add Link Tag
- Add Layout Tag
- Add Page Meta Tag
Once a Tag has been created, it will require some more information to be added to complete its setup. Click on each of the links above to see how to set up each type of Tag within the Tag Sections
